Choose a full test or one passage

IELTS ROOM lets you choose a full Reading test or work on an individual passage. A shorter session is useful when you want to focus on one question type or review mistakes without starting another full test. The library shows the question count and duration before you begin.

Use Practice to understand your answers

In Practice mode, you can open answer analysis and look for the sentence that supports an answer. First make your own choice. Then compare it with the evidence: which word, date, comparison or qualification changed the meaning? Write down why your original answer did not fit.

Use Mock to practise time management

Mock mode uses a timer and reveals results after completion. Academic IELTS Reading has 40 questions in 60 minutes. A single passage is a focused exercise, not a complete IELTS result. A score shown for a complete 40-question test is an estimate for that skill, not an official score or a four-skill overall band.

A practical 20-minute session

Here is one way to use a short session:

  • Spend 2 minutes reading the instructions and identifying the question type.
  • Work through a passage or selected questions for about 12 minutes.
  • Spend the remaining 6 minutes explaining your mistakes using text evidence.
  • Return to the same question type in your next session before trying another timed test.

Save your progress

Sign in with Telegram or your IELTS ROOM login to keep sessions with your account. Reading and Listening active time contribute to the same 30-day challenge. The daily target is 20 minutes; missing a day restarts the ongoing challenge, while saved test results remain.
