What Mock mode does

Select a test in the library, choose Mock and start the timer. Your attempt keeps its deadline when you return to it. Results become available after the attempt is completed. This gives you a way to work on timing and concentration alongside question accuracy.

Before you begin

Choose a quiet place and allow the duration shown on the test card. For Listening, check that your audio is working before starting. Put away answer keys and other help if your purpose is to get a useful picture of your current performance.

Read the result in context

A complete 40-question Academic Reading or Listening test can show an estimated band for that skill. Short exercises show a raw score because a passage or part does not cover a full skill test. IELTS ROOM does not assess Speaking or Writing, and cannot provide an overall IELTS band. Official score conversion can vary between test versions.

Turn a mock result into your next session

After a mock, sort mistakes into three groups: answers you could not find, answers you misunderstood, and answers lost to spelling or instructions. Choose the largest group for your next Practice session. Taking another full mock immediately can repeat the same mistakes without addressing their cause.

Is this an official IELTS test?

No. IELTS ROOM is an independent practice platform. Its mock results and 30-day challenge certificate are learning records, not official IELTS results. For an official test or certificate, use an authorised IELTS test provider.
